Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Tanek Walczyk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Francisco Ibañez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Ibañez. After a rather tough play, ANAHA FC's Marc-Olivier Coq got a free kick in the 31st minute. 38 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Firmin Négrel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 44th minute, Francisco Ibañez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Ibañez made a kick off. When Jacob Rieu fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ANAHA FC's protests and gave Jacob Rieu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute of the match, Abraham Alguacil sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Firmin Négrel showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Dudu Georgescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ANAHA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 89th minute, Dudu Georgescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
