Vivaldo Fernandes scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. GynBsb's Frederico Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of play. Frederico Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 45 minutes, Paul Danielsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GynBsb and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes GynBsb got a freekick which was hit by Paul Danielsson. Vivaldo Fernandes took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Frederico Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 58 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Fernandes notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frederico Bertassi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 65th minute. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Vivaldo Fernandes scored 4-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frederico Bertassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GynBsb's goalie prevented a goal. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Frederico Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but GynBsb were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
