Inge Villafane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Du Jian Chen in the 28th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Policarpio made a kick off. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inge Villafane. Inge Villafane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience was convinced that Jose Policarpio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Policarpio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Severino Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inge Villafane was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in La Mora CAT's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inge Villafane came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes La Mora CAT got a freekick which was hit by Ediz Bey. After 86 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Jose Policarpio put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. Tato Feria kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Mora CAT.
