Chico Donato came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Chico Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Chico Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. Olivier Gilg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 31st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Délio Furtado was substituted for Alan Franco. In the 34th minute of the match DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Song Xiong Hong ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 53 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Moreno. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Chico Donato when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chico Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by DIPLOMATA FC PAB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 77th minute Roberto Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Olivier Gilg. But to his dismay, Olivier Gilg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Olivier Gilg sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. After 88 minutes, Betinho Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIPLOMATA FC PAB and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to DIPLOMATA FC PAB getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Betinho Moreno hit a great ball. Chico Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Donato having to interfere. Roberto Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.
