The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Luca Espinar a yellow card for diving instead. Luca Espinar hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Sydney Baiano got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Espinar in the 26th minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Vitório Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Mario Vinciguerra got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Vitório Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mario Vinciguerra hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Vitório Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sydney Baiano made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitório Goiano came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitório Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitório Goiano was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Barbosa came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great ball. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 92 minutes, Gavin Giacomozzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Barcelona and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavin Giacomozzi to maneuver through the defense.
