Rubén Urruti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Miralles went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 10 minutes into the match, Sitges's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Rubén Urruti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubén Urruti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén Urruti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Øyvind Rovik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sitges fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 24th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén Urruti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubén Urruti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 27th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Sitges got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Carlsson. Rubén Urruti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sitges getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Josep Vila hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 38th minute of the match, Charidimos Papandreou tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldemar Folch in the 39th minute of play. Øyvind Rovik kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match, Mauricio Salazar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén Urruti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sitges's Kevin Johnson got a free kick in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charidimos Papandreou during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Charidimos Papandreou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Salazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 71 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldemar Folch, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute Baldemar Folch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Rubén Urruti skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alex Cambeiro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. Sitges's Nabucodonosor Llorente got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charidimos Papandreou hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubén Urruti having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sitges's Kevin Johnson got a free kick in the 90th minute. Abraham Alguacil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charidimos Papandreou in the 95th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sitges getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Josep Vila hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Sitges's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Rubén Urruti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Panama walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
