Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Ochabski having to interfere. If Iwo Marchlewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, WKS Śląsk Wrocław's Patryk Juzda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 19 played minutes WKS Śląsk Wrocław got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Bondel. The supporters of Paraguay booed when WKS Śląsk Wrocław was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Jaraczewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Ochabski saved WKS Śląsk Wrocław from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mieszko Lampa's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mieszko Lampa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to WKS Śląsk Wrocław getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mieszko Lampa hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Mieszko Lampa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When Patryk Juzda came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the WKS Śląsk Wrocław fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patryk Juzda couldn't finish the play. Jerzy Ochabski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Mieszko Lampa made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jerzy Ochabski, 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Paraguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than WKS Śląsk Wrocław.
