With an all-out effort, Hahay's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Delmar Berenguer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Hahay got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gökmen Parshan ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Hahay's Delmar Berenguer in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Hahay's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Sebastián Puig came free, but Aigeus Milionis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Aigeus Milionis was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Hahay made a substitution. Wawrzyniec Lewandowski replaced Wawrzyniec Glapiak. Hahay's Konrad Hatman was substituted for Emil Kordalewski. Hahay's Segundo Videl was substituted for Iwan Skaradoski. Wawrzyniec Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leonard Gardocki fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hahay's protests and gave Leonard Gardocki a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hahay getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Leonard Gardocki hit a great ball. Aigeus Milionis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute. In the 73rd minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hahay's Delmar Berenguer got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, Hahay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Grocholski to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Berenguer in the 88th minute of play. Konrad Hatman's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konrad Hatman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Hahay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Hatman to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Wawrzyniec Lewandowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hahay's supporters rose to their feet, but Wawrzyniec Lewandowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wawrzyniec Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
