Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jaime Celio. Lucas Brais hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Severino Gartxot's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Gartxot helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Barrialito AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Severino Gartxot hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristo Elivareo skillfully saved the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Adrian Osoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrialito AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 16 played minutes Barrialito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Osoitz. In the 19th minute, Hernan Socorro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Blai, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Adrian Osoitz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Cristo Elivareo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd match minute, Barrialito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Tallia to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Barrialito AFC defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristo Elivareo. The Barrialito AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristo Elivareo should have stopped the shot. Adrian Osoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Raitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Barrialito AFC's Cristo Elivareo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 56th minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Barrialito AFC's Hernan Socorro made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Julian Torres fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrialito AFC's protests and gave Julian Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Julian Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Erubiel Tallia made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jaime Celio however managed to control. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrialito AFC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Barrialito AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Erubiel Tallia hit a great ball. Cristo Elivareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Elivareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Efrain Blai fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrialito AFC's protests and gave Efrain Blai a yellow card for diving instead. Efrain Blai kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Hernan Socorro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Barrialito AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Hernan Socorro hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Elivareo having to interfere. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 92 played minutes, Barrialito AFC's Jaime Celio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrialito AFC reached it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Barrialito AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Venezuela for much of the match.
