With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Kolman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sheep United's Erik Kolman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 29th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erik Kolman. Sheep United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Escribano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Aad van Zonderen sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aad van Zonderen was the one to do the kick off. Michael Mol hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximiliano Escribano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erik Kolman. That made the score 0-6 in the 55 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 61st minute. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Erik Kolman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Franco charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Franco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Bart van der Gouw was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. After 75 played minutes Sheep United got a freekick which was hit by Bart van der Gouw. Erik Kolman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 76th minute of the match. Erik Kolman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Sheep United's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Erik Kolman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vincent Borker, made in the 89th minute of the game. The supporters of Sheep United booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aad van Zonderen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the game, Sheep United's Aad van Zonderen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. The Sheep United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
