Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Eduardo Coyences showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when 顾笑源 tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Barreto in the 16th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 顾笑源 came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 顾笑源 scored 3-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Barreto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquín Vásquez in the 31st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Luís Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by 顾笑源 in the 70th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, 顾笑源 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Los Payasitos made a substitution. 巩明星 replaced Ismael Barreto. Los Payasitos's Joaquín Vásquez got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Los Payasitos's Slim Lim was substituted for Joaquín Vásquez. In the 86th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 巩明星 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Los Payasitos had played much better football throughout.
