Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kyle Thake got the match started through his kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paraguay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 2nd minute. Penalty! The throw-in from Giorgio Caruana in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 12th minute of play. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Giorgio Caruana sent off a good shot on target. After 23 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Giorgio Caruana. In the 25th minute, Alex Testaferrata Viani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to Floriana Celtics getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alex Testaferrata Viani hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Alan Campos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floriana Celtics the free kick. After 39 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Alan Campos. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Thake, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Alex Testaferrata Viani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. After having played for 60 minutes, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Covarrubias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Prats to maneuver through the defense. Godwin Montesin struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floriana Celtics. When Kyle Thake fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floriana Celtics's protests and gave Kyle Thake a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Floriana Celtics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Thake to maneuver through the defense. Kyle Thake scored 5-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Edward Ellis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floriana Celtics fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 88th minute, Edward Ellis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. If Kyle Thake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Thake in the 93rd minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyle Thake took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Paraguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Floriana Celtics.
