In the 20th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Åke Kjellbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hemse RK's Sven-Åke Kjellbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hemse RK's Timo Lanng got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Hemse RK's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Miralles came free, but Sven-Åke Kjellbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Åke Kjellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Hemse RK's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Sven-Åke Kjellbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rune Gustafsson to make the kick off. Fredrik Klack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Rune Gustafsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Gustafsson in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rune Gustafsson in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Åke Kjellbom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 71st minute. 77 minutes into the match, Hemse RK's goalkeeper Sven-Åke Kjellbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Gustafsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Hemse RK made a substitution. Frans Smedfeldt replaced Gabriel Hedlund. The corner led Hemse RK's Fredrik Klack to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Cotilla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Hemse RK booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball.
