Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Thake, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Marco Tamayo charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Tamayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The tension between the El Salvador and the Floriana Celtics players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Magrina hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Kyle Thake who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Kyle Thake cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giorgio Caruana struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floriana Celtics. If Kyle Thake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Zorita stood somewhat misplaced when Giorgio Caruana came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. 26 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Mats Sangolt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Thake in the 28th minute of play. Giorgio Caruana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Giorgio Caruana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Floriana Celtics's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Salvador the free kick. Giorgio Caruana kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kyle Thake. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Floriana Celtics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Vella didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Floriana Celtics's Kyle Thake made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Thake made a kick off. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgio Caruana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 52 minutes of play, Floriana Celtics's Kyle Thake made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Moises Fernandino fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Moises Fernandino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Moises Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Floriana Celtics's Giorgio Caruana got a free kick in the 55th minute. Floriana Celtics's Matt Sciortino was substituted for Godwin Montesin. After 56 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Giorgio Caruana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Thake in the 58th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Matt Sciortino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matt Sciortino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After 69 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jesus Carvallo hit a great ball. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robby Baggio went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Testaferrata Viani, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Alex Testaferrata Viani took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. The Floriana Celtics fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Floriana Celtics's Robby Baggio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kyle Thake blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Kyle Thake put it in 12-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Thake in the 85th minute of the match. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Robby Baggio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Floriana Celtics fully deserved thier win.
