Hector Covarrubias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Izydor Limanowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Izydor Limanowski saved Modlau from getting behind. The Paraguay fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Paraguay's Jaime Pardo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Izydor Limanowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Izydor Limanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

The wind increased when Jaime Pardo made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Izydor Limanowski in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Izydor Limanowski. Jaime Pardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 60th minute of play forced Modlau's goalkeeper Izydor Limanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Covarrubias ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Diego Tenorio to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Modlau's Izydor Limanowski got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 74th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jose Sanz made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Hector Covarrubias however managed to control.
