The supporters of Ecuador booed when Holmkjar Hotspurs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Ørnholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tristan Nordlet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play forced Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalkeeper Tristan Nordlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play forced Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalkeeper Tristan Nordlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tristan Nordlet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Makenhauer in the 36th minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Nordlet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tristan Nordlet quite easily take care of the ball. Tristan Nordlet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Sebastián Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 56th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Lexbo in the 58th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bent Streyder, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Elmar Lexbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Kurd Frydenholt replaced Claes Katsir. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Magnus Steinwart replaced Bent Streyder. In the 75th minute, Elmar Lexbo made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Molnit in the 79th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Tristan Nordlet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 89 minutes into the match, Magnus Steinwart notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Holmkjar Hotspurs support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
