Thanks to some nice moves Pankracy Malicki could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pankracy Malicki in the 16th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Vollmar got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Thomas Vollmar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United's Tadeusz Pstrongowski got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thomas Vollmar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 37 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Zé Paulo Zonta, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikolaj Jerzyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 60th minute. Newcastle United's Filip Orling was substituted for Julian Obuchowicz. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Adam Pacholewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the game, Thomas Vollmar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 79th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Marian Erland. Mikolaj Jerzyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Thomas Vollmar sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 91st minute of play. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute of play. Pankracy Malicki kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Newcastle United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
