Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that 梅峰沙's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 梅峰沙 in the 64th minute of play. The audience was convinced that 毛威磊's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 梅峰沙 in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
