Curacao's Bruno Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Curacao from getting a goal against them. Bruno Barrett made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Robbin Lambrecht sent off a good shot on target. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baybora Okkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Robbin Lambrecht struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Aquitana. Bruno Barrett was a little too slow when Baybora Okkan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Troy Kennedy kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Van Maestricht. 17 minutes into the game, AFC Aquitana's Baybora Okkan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Robbin Lambrecht notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Baybora Okkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Baybora Okkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Barrett made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Cesar Leenpoels sent off a good shot on target. Baybora Okkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Raeijmaeckers. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilles Wuyts in the 42nd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The audience was convinced that Robbin Lambrecht's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Barrett was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After 53 played minutes AFC Aquitana got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Van Acker. In the 56th minute, Baybora Okkan made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Robbin Lambrecht sped through Curacao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robbin Lambrecht's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Baybora Okkan made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baybora Okkan in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Baybora Okkan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Joachim Raeijmaeckers managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Aquitana's supporters rose to their feet, but Joachim Raeijmaeckers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbin Lambrecht in the 80th minute of play. Joachim Raeijmaeckers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Baybora Okkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AFC Aquitana's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
