Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Gilberto Funes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Gilberto Funes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After having played for 6 minutes, Marcin Wawro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RODOS F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcin Wawro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Hillar Vent kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Sakis Satrapis sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute, Marcin Wawro made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rab Cura having to interfere. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute of the match Hillar Vent sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute, RODOS F.C.'s Lakis Traganitis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. In the 42ndth minute of the game Lakis Traganitis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcin Wawros short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lakis Traganitis to make the kick off. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcin Wawro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lakis Traganitis went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 65th play minutes Lakis Traganitis shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 68thth minute of the game Lakis Traganitis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Traganitis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RODOS F.C.'s Petros Meimarakis was substituted for Wim Jansen. A nice corner shot did that Dimitris Venieris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Lakis Traganitis put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Lakis Traganitis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Dimitris Venieris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Petros Meimarakis notched a goal, 13-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 96 minutes into the match, Lakis Traganitis notched a goal, 14-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. RODOS F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
