Luis Andino hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Milosz Ikalewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Józef Wandzik having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. 2-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Przemyslaw Przybylo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Józef Wandzik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 33rd minute of play forced Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Józef Wandzik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Przemyslaw Przybylo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmos 1984 NewDance. After some careless play in the Cosmos 1984 NewDance defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Józef Wandzik. The Cosmos 1984 NewDance fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Józef Wandzik should have stopped the shot. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Cyryl Prosowski was substituted for Kryspin Sala. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Przemyslaw Przybylo in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Remigiusz Barys was substituted for Wlodzimierz Zagrobelny. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Józef Wandzik. That made the score 2-2 after 80 minutes of play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Józef Wandzik was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 85 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Józef Wandzik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 90 minutes, Felix Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Cosmos 1984 NewDance players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Józef Wandzik. Józef Wandzik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The Cosmos 1984 NewDance fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
