Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Kråk in the 21st minute of play. After taking down the ball on BK Ugglan's corner Dong Ting Fan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henk Van Linthout took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk Van Linthout in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match, Dong Ting Fan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 45 played minutes BK Ugglan got a freekick which was hit by Urban Wennerlund. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Fagrell having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henk Van Linthout stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Thomas Sundberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Fagrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Thomas Sundberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Sundberg in the 69th minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrik Fagrell having to make a save. Patrik Fagrell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Aleksander Kjellqvist got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 5-0. 75 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 79th minute of play forced BK Ugglan's goalkeeper Patrik Fagrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, BK Ugglan's Henk Van Linthout nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. BK Ugglan made a substitution. Bror Bruhn replaced Dong Ting Fan. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Bror Bruhn managed to get in a good position for a shot. BK Ugglan's supporters rose to their feet, but Bror Bruhn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute, Patricio Costa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. BK Ugglan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
