Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 9th minute. The corner ended in Lautaro Puig almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Żywiec's Steven Schuster did a great save. In the 13th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Jens Krammer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Roland Hens took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 23 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Roland Hens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Jens Krammer tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Żywiec's goalkeeper Steven Schuster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans-Dieter Kolb in the 39th minute. In the 46th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th play minute Jens Krammer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens Krammer to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jens Krammer managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Żywiec's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Krammer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roland Hens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens Krammer in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After 65 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. After 72 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Steven Schuster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Hens in the 84th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Roland Hens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Roland Hens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Jens Krammer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. 97 minutes into the game, Alexander Carballo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Żywiec the free kick. In the 97th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Żywiec had played much better football throughout.
