Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Jens-Ove Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Johnsson in the 9th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Karl-Åke Almqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jens-Ove Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Di Röe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens-Ove Ekberg went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Di Röe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Salvador Gisbert got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jens-Ove Åkesson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 41 minutes, Jose Correa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Correa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ragnar Johnsson to make the kick off. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Johnsson in the 51st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Johnsson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Albin Emander got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Jens-Ove Åkesson in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jens-Ove Åkesson. That made the score 1-3 in the 80 minute of play. When Di Röe's Jens-Ove Ekberg in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 85 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Di Röe's Jens-Ove Åkesson. Jens-Ove Åkesson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Johnsson in the 89th minute of play. After 95 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karl-Åke Almqvist who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Di Röe's Karl-Åke Almqvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
