Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 3rd minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Albin Emander in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens-Ove Åkesson was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Albin Emander hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Ragnar Johnsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Ragnar Johnsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Di Röe's goalie prevented a goal. Fabian Rydelius made in the 39th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Albin Emander. In the 42nd play minute Jens-Ove Ekberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Ragnar Johnsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Ragnar Johnsson made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jens-Ove Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joshua Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Åkesson having to interfere. Di Röe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karl-Åke Almqvist in the 72nd minute. After 74 played minutes Di Röe got a freekick which was hit by Olov Kihlman. 75 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Jens-Ove Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Eklund struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Di Röe. 80 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Jens-Ove Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jens-Ove Åkesson managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Magnus Tham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Magnus Tham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jens-Ove Ekberg fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Di Röe's protests and gave Jens-Ove Ekberg a yellow card for diving instead. Jens-Ove Ekberg was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Ragnar Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Di Röe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ragnar Johnsson couldn't finish the play. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
