In the 14th minute, Medero Nadal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tavio Rienda in the 19th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Medero Nadal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Medero Nadal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute Tavio Rienda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, VALPICA C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Rodrigo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VALPICA C.F.'s Tavio Rienda pulled a muscle in his back after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Medero Nadal got free with Benito Sanz in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to VALPICA C.F. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Asier Canal hit a great ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Medero Nadal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Ramos was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacho Marrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medero Nadal in the 80th minute of play. Juan Rubio got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 90th minute. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. VALPICA C.F. had played much better football throughout.
