Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Martinsson having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 60th minute, Albert Rutledge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 66th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Martinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to LA VIOLA getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Henrik Wickander hit a great ball. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felix Martinsson. LA VIOLA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Martinsson made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the LA VIOLA defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Martinsson. The LA VIOLA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Martinsson should have stopped the shot. A collision led to LA VIOLA getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jerry Stabbe hit a great ball. With a little luck, LA VIOLA's Felix Martinsson got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 95 played minutes LA VIOLA got a freekick which was hit by Albert Rutledge. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
