Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Damaso Sancho took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Máté Márton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Congo Bongo's Máté Márton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match, Damaso Sancho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Ingvar Andersson got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 14th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Andersson to maneuver through the defense. If Damaso Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Máté Márton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Damaso Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damaso Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Máté Márton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Kaj-Åke Kaká managed to get in a good position for a shot. Congo Bongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaj-Åke Kaká was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Damaso Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damaso Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 56th minute. Congo Bongo made a substitution. Arnaldo Oidor replaced Damaso Sancho. After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. With a little luck, Congo Bongo's Máté Márton got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 65th minute. Máté Márton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 78th minute of the match. If Arnaldo Oidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Máté Márton could save by the left post. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Froilan Iaki was slow to take the kick. During this time Congo Bongo's players had a chance to rest. 4-1 became the score in the 93rd minute when Froilan Iaki elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Congo Bongo had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
