Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Älta BK's Per-Erik Bergfeldt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Grep was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Orlando Engelaar fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Älta BK's protests and gave Orlando Engelaar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Orlando Engelaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 8 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Älta BK's Edgar Grep tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Älta BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoffer Vesterberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Per-Erik Bergfeldt struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Älta BK. 34 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Grep. Älta BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 37 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Edgar Grep was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play forced Älta BK's goalkeeper Edgar Grep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Grep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Älta BK's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Grep came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Älta BK made a substitution. Nils-Emil Engman replaced Lars-Erik Brogren. Älta BK's Joel Danielsson was substituted for Anders Löv. With a little luck, Älta BK's Edgar Grep got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Älta BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Engelaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Edgar Grep successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Älta BK's Edgar Grep got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 minutes Älta BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. 0-6 became the score in the 68th minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Edgar Grep made a huge save. 78 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Edgar Grep was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 88 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goalkeeper Edgar Grep had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Älta BK.
