Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Soetemans in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hu Jian Zhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Ye Xiang Zheng got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Henrik Henriksson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Henrik Henriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Henrik Henriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hu Jian Zhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ye Xiang Zheng in the 40th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Henriksson in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Zbyszek Polakowski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 64 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hu Jian Zhan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Henrik Henriksson struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahce ISTANBUL. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Henriksson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrik Henriksson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Henriksson in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Soetemans in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Luis Andino took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Hu Jian Zhan to make any attempt to save it. Hu Jian Zhan made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Hu Jian Zhan was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-4. Primitivo Andino made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Berkin Tellioğlu. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
