In the 18thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Sixten Tunander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd play minute Ozan Heybetli came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 2-0. Ozan Heybetli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixten Tunander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sixten Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ozan Heybetli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Sixten Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ozan Heybetli made a kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ozan Heybetli, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sixten Tunander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ozan Heybetli in the 80th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ozan Heybetli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Terciero kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Ciriaco Terciero hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ozan Heybetli in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixten Tunander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC Hammarby Sjöstad were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
