Miguel Miralles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Sabóia having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Fonseca came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Matthew Garrido in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Saiko FC's Wesley Lira. The supporters of Panama booed when Saiko FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthew Garrido made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Abraham Alguacil. In the 66th minute, Eliseu Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saiko FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Eliseu Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saiko FC. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Zé Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. 82 minutes into the match, Eliseu Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 85th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Sabóia was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Matthew Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Saiko FC's Wesley Lira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Steriopol during the 93rd minute. Saiko FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Panama for much of the match.
