The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Otto Axelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Miguel Miralles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelle Smedfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Hellqvist in the 12th minute. Jonas Hellqvist had several of the Panama's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Marcos Cotilla as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Smedfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Hellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjörn Brummer came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Brummer in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Tomas Asserlindh tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Tomas Asserlindh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. Tomas Asserlindh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 46th match minute, StraX Xenon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigvard Frykberg to maneuver through the defense.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, StraX Xenon FC's Villiam Johnsson got a free kick in the 55th minute. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Asserlindh in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Torbjörn Brummer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Asserlindh came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Hellqvist came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Jonas Hellqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Pelle Smedfeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Pelle Smedfeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 72nd minute of the match. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mattias Olofsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Andersson came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joacim Andersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Sarmiento might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Olofsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidoro Sarmiento ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by StraX Xenon FC's Jonas Hellqvist. But to his dismay, Jonas Hellqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. StraX Xenon FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Panama for a fine match.
