Käka Puck BK's Björn Johnsson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 14 minute of the game. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Walkowski got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Forsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Erserman made a kick off. Billy Pihlberg's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Pihlberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Käka Puck BK got a freekick which was hit by Billy Pihlberg. When Henry Erserman came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Käka Puck BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Erserman couldn't finish the play.
