When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 3-0 when 傅亮战 sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Casimiro Tartalo took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, 蒋泉荣 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and 蒋泉荣 tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 80th minute, 傅亮战 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. 曲剑泉 took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute, 余旭志 made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match.
