Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Imre Hellinger in the 20th minute of play. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joacim First read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Joacim First made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Ceresso. In the 40th minute of the match Pinhote FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loco Martin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pinhote FC's Loco Martin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 43 minutes into the match, Guo Ming notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 45 in the game by Sílvio Luís Ceresso from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Guo Ming made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 57th minute, Pinhote FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 61st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim First saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Pinhote FC's Sílvio Luís Ceresso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 65th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Joacim First made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joacim First tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Imre Hellinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Pinhote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Imre Hellinger to maneuver through the defense.
