In the 12th minute, Heintje Alemasov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borys Lanczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Waclaw Hludzenski sent off a good shot on target. After 38 minutes of play, Sawino SA's Janusz Niedzwiecki made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waclaw Hludzenski in the 41st minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Janusz Niedzwiecki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janusz Niedzwiecki in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Waclaw Hludzenski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waclaw Hludzenski in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janusz Niedzwiecki in the 62nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Waclaw Hludzenski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waclaw Hludzenski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 72 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Heintje Alemasov came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Borys Lanczak. That made the score 3-1 in the 76 minute of play. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Sawino SA's Heintje Alemasov. But to his dismay, Heintje Alemasov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a rather tough play, Sawino SA's Heintje Alemasov got a free kick in the 88th minute. Abraham Alguacil's late challenge caught a Sawino SA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abraham Alguacil helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee ended the match the Sawino SA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
