Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fabio Monte's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benito Sanz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Antonio Guillelme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Guillelme. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Northern California's Fabio Monte. But to his dismay, Fabio Monte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 18th minute, Northern California's Gervasio Isias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Fabio Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northern California's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Monte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fabio Monte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 5-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Fabio Monte elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Monte, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Fabio Monte's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Isias, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Monte in the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Fabio Monte made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Guillelme came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Fabio Monte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Juan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Juan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. When Fabio Monte came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Northern California fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Monte couldn't finish the play. Northern California's Leandro Chorche got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Antonio Guillelme came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Northern California fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Guillelme couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with David Schembri in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Monte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Ilazki, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Monte in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Leandro Chorche sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. 75 minutes into the match, Antonio Guillelme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Guillelme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Monte in the 81st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Fabio Monte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Monte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Monte in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Monte came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Frans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leandro Chorche scored 10-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. David Schembri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Chorche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Northern California's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
