Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) BV Borussia Hammarby's Birger Mårtensson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of BV Borussia Hammarby booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Carballal didn't get a good kick on the ball. BV Borussia Hammarby's Anders Örtlund got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Orvar Kihlman managed to get in a good position for a shot. BV Borussia Hammarby's supporters rose to their feet, but Orvar Kihlman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Orvar Kihlman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 13 minutes into the game, Birger Mårtensson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 minutes, Arturo Carvallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the BV Borussia Hammarby players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Mårtensson got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orvar Kihlman took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! Arturo Carvallo made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jaime Cazalla immediately put the ball in play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvar Kihlman, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Jairo Asteguieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orvar Kihlman in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Asteguieta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 61st minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Kihlman in the 63rd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orvar Kihlman's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Arturo Carvallo got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Arturo Carvallo hit a great ball. BV Borussia Hammarby made a substitution. Honorio Florin replaced Orvar Kihlman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Florin in the 79th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Florin in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, BV Borussia Hammarby's Honorio Florin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Honorio Florin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute of the game Jaime Cazalla made a throw-in which Alberto Gisbert played forward. The supporters of Uruguay booed when BV Borussia Hammarby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Fristedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Florin in the 89th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Honorio Florin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BV Borussia Hammarby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. After 94 minutes, Honorio Florin made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. BV Borussia Hammarby were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Uruguay for a fine match.
