Roar Klev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roar Klev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roar Klev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roar Klev. Roar Klev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Mountainhammer United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mountainhammer United's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mountainhammer United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 40 minutes into the game, Mountainhammer United's Arne Back nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Christoffer Häll came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mountainhammer United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoffer Häll couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. With a little luck, Mountainhammer United's Roar Klev got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roar Klev made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Back came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Roar Klev in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 89th minute.
