Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Latif Biçim, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Azul Y Plomo's Latif Biçim. But to his dismay, Latif Biçim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 30th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Macías got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector-Luis Arzola got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Macías scored 3-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Azul Y Plomo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Manolo Area hit a great ball. Chiriboga Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Navarro Rojas in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector-Luis Arzola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When José Macías came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Azul Y Plomo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Macías couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Latif Biçim, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Macías in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute José Macías shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Macías in the 76th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Azul Y Plomo's José Macías nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manolo Area took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Cotilla. Panama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Chiriboga Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
