Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Paraguay's Jaime Pardo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Hector Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franklin Bertassi hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Válbson Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Luiz Fabiano Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. 42 minutes in the game Adilson Coutinho did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to David Magalhães. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Válbson Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Válbson Rocha made a kick off. When Adilson Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Jaru-Uaru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adilson Coutinho couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Paraguay's Iker Tafalla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Iker Tafalla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paraguay protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iker Tafalla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 59 minutes into the game, one of Paraguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Jaru-Uaru a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sérgio Pinheiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Sérgio Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Sérgio Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Rocha in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 68th minute. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Corrêa having to interfere. Raul Venegas hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Escribano hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Jaru-Uaru's Pedro Luiz Massa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Paraguay. Many of Paraguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Paraguay may have spent more time on the ball, but Jaru-Uaru were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
