Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Luiz Fabiano Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 10th minute. After taking down the ball on Costa Rica's corner Axel Tasis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luiz Fabiano Corrêa quite easily take care of the ball. Eliseo Noboa scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fabiano Corrêa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes, Jaru-Uaru's Pedro Luiz Massa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jaru-Uaru reached it. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Válbson Rocha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-2. Luiz Fabiano Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fabiano Corrêa was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. A collision led to Jaru-Uaru getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Adilson Coutinho hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fabiano Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Jaru-Uaru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Costa Rica were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson Rocha was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 54 in the game by Axel Tasis from a close distance when the talented Luiz Fabiano Corrêa managed to make a qualified save. Jaru-Uaru's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Luiz Fabiano Corrêa in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Válbson Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Sérgio Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Jaru-Uaru booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Costa Rica were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Jaru-Uaru side.
