Judas Verón struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano de Pibasog. 8 minutes into the match, Judas Verón dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita, 1-0. Judas Verón received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out and tried to block the shot, but Judas Verón slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Judas Verón sent off a good shot on target. El Salvador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Judas Verón scored to the left of an out of position Ricardo Zorita, making the score, 3-0. After 17 played minutes Belgrano de Pibasog got a freekick which was hit by Blue Dolar. Judas Verón might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Judas Verón ran back to his position shaking his head. A sloppy throw-in by Clemente Gaizkine in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Salvador's Luis Rubio. 31 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Judas Verón. Ricardo Zorita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Judas Verón showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 40 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Judas Verón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 55 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Judas Verón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 62 minutes into the game, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Judas Verón took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Judas Verón kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Judas Verón blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Judas Verón in the 80th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Iulian Ilinca put it in 14-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Belgrano de Pibasog fully deserved thier win.
