Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) AFC Viola Gigliati's Reinaldo Briceño started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Min Ordoña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of AFC Viola Gigliati booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a AFC Viola Gigliati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AFC Viola Gigliati's Samuel Horduña got a free kick in the 25th minute. Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Samuel Horduña came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the AFC Viola Gigliati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Horduña couldn't finish the play. Min Ordoña came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Axel Tasis. But to his dismay, Axel Tasis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Min Ordoña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 40th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Waldir Velaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reinaldo Briceño's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Briceño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 71st minute Reinaldo Briceño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
