In the 7th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santos Sidro skillfully saved the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Stanislao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Stanislao in the 19th minute of the match. Denis Stanislao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Gisbert made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sacronas Futbol Club's Everardo Lore. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Santos Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Sacronas Futbol Club's Denis Stanislao got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Sidro having to interfere. A hard shot 64 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Santos Sidro managed to make a qualified save. Sacronas Futbol Club's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, the referee gave Ecuador a penalty. Daniel Zorita looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Santos Sidro. Santos Sidro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 80 minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sacronas Futbol Club's Everardo Lore quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Agustín Saelices came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Santos Sidro could save by the left post. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Stanislao in the 94th minute of play. Denis Stanislao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save.
