Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Panama's Tomas Berganza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Strong Body sent off a good shot on target. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Steen Müür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Edgar van Rijswijk fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heineken Youths's protests and gave Edgar van Rijswijk a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Edgar van Rijswijk. Steen Müür showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Strong Body kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Heineken Youths getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ramon Zadelhoff hit a great ball. Steen Müür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute, Tomas Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Strong Body got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steen Müür was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Steen Müür showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Steen Müür didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. A collision led to Heineken Youths getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Henk Scholten hit a great ball. Strong Body got in the 45th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Marcos Cotilla handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Panama were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Strong Body to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Edgar van Rijswijk. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Cambeiro got free with Steen Müür in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boukjan van Dongen might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boukjan van Dongen ran back to his position shaking his head. Heineken Youths's Steen Müür played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 70th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steen Müür breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heineken Youths's Steen Müür played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Miguel Miralles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Heineken Youths players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Edgar van Rijswijk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Heineken Youths booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steen Müür made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.
