Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Taurino Hernaiz took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taurino Hernaiz in the 3rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zernin Losa struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Resistencia Tayrona FC. 10 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Taurino Hernaiz came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Taurino Hernaiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-0. When Taurino Hernaiz came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Resistencia Tayrona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taurino Hernaiz couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Zernin Losa took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zernin Losa in the 25th minute of play. Taurino Hernaiz in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Taurino Hernaiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taurino Hernaiz in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Alcocer came free, but Stanislav Dvorskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zernin Losa, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Resistencia Tayrona FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ingmar Kracke took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Costa Rica's goalie and right to Zernin Losa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Costa Rica's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 43 minutes, Taurino Hernaiz made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. The Resistencia Tayrona FC fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Resistencia Tayrona FC's Taurino Hernaiz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 56 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. After having played for 57 minutes, Taurino Hernaiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia Tayrona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taurino Hernaiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Ingmar Kracke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Resistencia Tayrona FC made a substitution. Egun Zaballos replaced Taurino Hernaiz. In the 68thth minute of the game Egun Zaballos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ingmar Kracke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chale Galanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Egun Zaballos scored 6-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Chale Galanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egun Zaballos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Egun Zaballos made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Resistencia Tayrona FC had played much better football throughout.
