Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a rather tough play, HASSELHOFF BABES's Roque Pirro got a free kick in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomasz Boruta to make the kick off.
