Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Durval Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Jose Correa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Deilmison Yashin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 94th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
